Two DTU Nanotech PhD scholarships are available at the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology, DTU Nanotech, starting in 2017.
DTU Nanotech invites highly talented young researchers who have obtained outstanding results during their M.Sc. studies and who have demonstrated excellence and potential in their field of study, to apply for scholarships from DTU Nanotech. Only applications from the very top students are of interest and will be considered.
The subject of the PhD project must be within one of the main strategic research fields of the department:

We embrace projects that are curiosity driven and projects that are closely related to strategic agendas in society.
Candidates should have (or soon obtain) a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering.
Approval and Enrolment
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.
The assessment of the applicants will be made by Head of Department Thomas L. Andresen with input from professors in the department.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years.
