Your new colleagues have rated Oticon as #1 place to work for Engineers

This is according to “Ingeniøren” - but why is that?
We believe it is our innovative work environment. We take part in developing best in class hearing solutions. We are a large, growth-orientated company, within the financially stable medico-technical industry and +450 engineers - all committed to empower people to communicate freely, interact naturally and participate actively.

The challenge
Modern hearing instruments are also Bluetooth enabled iOS devices and already now, mobile apps play a key role in creating a seamless experience for our end-users.

You will be working in close cooperation with both our cloud team and our team responsible for the development of the application layer software of our hearing instruments. You will be a member of a SCRUM team working with a dedicated Product Owner, business analysts, UX and UI designers, and test developers.

Be prepared for development of both publicly available mobile applications and technical proofs of concept exploring new technologies. You may expect various tasks, e.g. development of UI components, implementation of business logic, direct and indirect communication with hearing instruments, integration with third party services, usage of iOS’s features, improvements of the Continuous Integration processes, etc.

You will be reporting to the team leader of the group who is seated in Poland and the team you will work in is seated at headquarter in Smørum, Denmark.

Your background
You may have an educational background at M.Sc. level. However, it is your skills and experience as an iOS developer that is most relevant, in order for you to succeed in this position. Consequently, you have already developed a few apps for the App Store (including iPhone applications written in Swift) and are experienced in object-oriented software development.

We highly value experience with iOS performance tools, optimization techniques, iOS Bluetooth communication, distributed systems and multi-threaded programming.

We also value experience with development of Android applications, embedded software and medical software.

As a person, you focus on the result and present a structured and independent working style. You will be part of an international team with other skilled colleagues that enable and encourage knowledge sharing and innovative thinking. We want your convincing inputs and offer the framework for you to create and establish the very best solutions.

What is in it for you?
It will be a technical challenge and you will be working with cutting-edge solutions for both hearing aids and accessories. This area holds great future promise; both in the perspective of the company, but also in the way end users interact with our products through their mobile devices. The team is passionate, not just about the tasks and products, but about clean code and automated testing. In short, you will be joining a very professional and dedicated team and colleagues, who thrive for knowledge sharing.

Want to join the team?
Then send your application as soon as possible but latest 29 September 2017. Please be aware that only candidates using the electronic recruitment system will be considered for this position.
